Heat stress broiler chickens

Heat stress

Heat stress is caused by sudden or prolonged heat and results in growth retardation and unnecessary mortality. Broilers don't have sweat glands so they are unable to sweat. Heat stress can be recognized by chicks with an open beak and their wings wide apart
